horticultureWorld populations and economies are rapidly increasing the demand for food, wine and amenities.

Horticultural scientists enable growers and managers to supply this demand in a sustainable way. This course will prepare you to deal with the increasing demands of the expanding horticultural industries.

Course outline

The Graduate Certificate in Science (Horticulture) consists of four coursework units.

Students may select from a wide variety of units, including Soil Biology and Plant Nutrition, Plant Physiology: Plants in Action, Environmental Hydrology, Organic Agriculture and Horticulture, Horticultural Production Systems, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Ecosystem Biogeochemistry, Plant Physiological Ecology, Integrated Pest Management, Molecular Biology and Project and Risk Management.

Admission requirements

Domestic students

A relevant bachelor's degree from this or another recognised university; or a qualification or a level of education and professional experience recognised by the Faculty as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
