Natural resource management (NRM) has traditionally involved the management of specific resources such as water, soil and biological resources but is increasingly concerned with integrated management of landscapes.
There is now more emphasis on environmental goals in NRM but also recognition of the need to integrate these with economic and social goals. This requires the development of new approaches to planning, policies and governance. NRM professionals require skills and knowledge across a broad range of areas.
The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences offers the Graduate Diploma in NRM Policy and Planning to meet the professional development needs of people working in government NRM agencies, community NRM groups and local government.
The course is delivered wholly online and is highly suited to part-time study. Contact Dr Colin Macgregor for more information.
