Climate and climate-related issues will be an on-going concern of the general community, industry, the wider private sector and government agencies for many years to come.
This course provides an integrated approach to the analysis of climate processes, the interaction of the atmosphere with the other components of the Earth System, and the economic and policy issues associated with climate change. Sustainability, agricultural productivity and global food security are central concerns in the response to climate variability and future climate change, and are examined at both the regional and global scales.
Course outline
The Graduate Diploma in Science (Climate Studies) consists of four coursework units (50%) and a climate studies research project (50%).
Students may select the four coursework units from a wide variety of units including The Climate System, Global Climate Change and Biodiversity, Climate Dynamics, Climate Change, Policy and Planning, Environmental Policy and Law, Environmental Economics, Environmental Change, Ecology, Global Governance and Project and Risk Management.

Admission requirements
Domestic students
A relevant bachelor's degree from this or another recognised university; or has a completed relevant Graduate Certificate in Science with an average mark of at least 60 per cent, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty.
