World populations and economies are rapidly increasing their demands for food and fibre.
At the same time, agricultural systems are being placed under pressure to meet environmental, social and economic goals. To meet these goals and to maintain or increase production levels, an understanding of the complex factors that shape agricultural systems is required. This course will prepare you well to participate in the rapidly evolving area of agricultural science.
The Master of Science (Agricultural Science) consists of four coursework units (50%) and a research dissertation (50%).
The coursework component may be selected from a wide variety of units including Pasture Systems, Cropping Systems, Organic Agriculture and Horticulture, Genetics and Breeding, Animal Production, Land, Soil and Water Systems, Plant Physiological Ecology, Integrated Pest Management and Project and Risk Management.
