Geographic information systems are well accepted tools for the management and analysis of spatial information.
This course will allow you to apply spatial information to many subject areas including agricultural sciences, botany, engineering, geography, geology, health science, natural resource management, planning, social science and zoology. Geographical information technology incorporates computer graphics and databases.
The Master of Science (Geographical Information Systems) consists of four coursework units (50%) and a research dissertation (50%).
The coursework component may be selected from a wide variety of units including Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, Biometrics or Statistics, and if needed, additional units from an application area, such as natural resource management, agricultural science, geology.
