Information for Prospective Undergraduate Students

Are you thinking about studying science  at university?

If you aren't quite sure what you want to study yet, hopefully we can make that decision a little easier for you. Here you can find information about what benefits there are to studying a scientific discipline at a tertiary level, and why the University of Western Australia is a great university to choose for your science studies, whether or not you live in Perth.

If you do think that pursuing a career in a scientific field is for you, then check out the different science courses  that are available at UWA, including a large variety of degrees you can enrol in (and explanations as to how they differ). Whether you already have an idea of which area of science you would like to undertake further studies in or not, we have a wealth of information about each of the majors and areas of specialisation to help you make your choice.

Speaking of careers, you might like to peruse theprofiles of some of our graduates. While many of them now have jobs in research or other areas where they are directly applying their scientific knowledge, others are in completely different fields. Whatever their final career choice, all agree that the skills they gained through studying science at university has been invaluable in their jobs.
