Woodside Energy

My career aspirations were realised at the beginning of my Honours research with a job with Woodside.

As a Bachelor of Science (Honours in Geology) and Bachelor of Economics, I have been a part of their graduate program for 18 months.

I am a well champion on a North West Shelf drilling campaign, which has involved interpreting seismic data, designing well trajectories with drilling engineers, regional geological studies, as well as interstate/international travel for training and field trips.

I have worked in every aspect of the oil and gas exploration and production industry. I’ve travelled to Kuala Lumpur and the gorges of central Australia.

My most satisfying moment so far was “spudding” my first development well for Woodside.

When working on something that potentially costs the company tens of millions of dollars, there is something very satisfying about knowing that your work has real meaning and that you are ultimately responsible for the success (or failure) of such a large project!
