I have a double major in Geology and Land and Water Management which gave me the practical, outdoors career I always wanted.

A month after finishing my degree, I landed a position as a graduate exploration geologist with LionOre Australia exploring for gold and nickel deposits.

Other career options exist in the diamond, oil, gas and mineral sands industries as well as working for government corporations or in a research and teaching capacity at universities.

I have really valued the hands-on approach offered throughout the degree. During the four years, we had field trips at Nighan Station, Hopetoun, Bremer Bay,  Rottnest, Carnarvon and around the Kalgoorlie area.

University is a wonderful social experience and there is an excellent network of staff constantly available to offer support.
