Venture Manager
TechStart Australia

I took my time and chose courses that stimulated me the most. I also did some marketing units because I had a part-time job in hospitality.

After 12 twelve months in the hospitality industry, I joined TechStart where I'm responsible for managing new technology projects through the process of commercialisation, from the critical selection of projects through to market research and analysis, strategy development, business planning and capital raising.

We work with early stage, broad based technologies, so I get an amazing insight to the cutting edge in a range of scientific fields.

While it seems there are a million facts to learn, science teaches you one invaluable skill - how to think analytically. It has also taught me to critically analyse things other than science, such as legal agreements, contracts and patents.
