At the Vocational and Rehabilitation Research Institute, I am working with individuals with developmental disabilities and assisting them to become more contributing and valued members of the community.

My role involves individual counselling, group work, team consultation, with a large focus on Risk Management issues. It's exciting to transfer my skills to another client population, not to mention another country!

Before moving to Canada, I worked for in the Pain Management Centre at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne, and was involved in running Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy programs, where patients learn new skills in managing their response to pain. It was amazing to see some of the changes that people made to their lives after completion of the program.
