After graduating, I worked in the Cell Biology Division at the TVW Institute for Child Health Research for two and a half years.

For five years I was an account manager in Scientific Sales. This was enjoyable, as I used my science knowledge dealing with university research labs, private pathology labs and hospitals. The broader skills I acquired at UWA are really valuable when talking to a wide range of different people, from researchers to purchasing staff. There is also the added attraction of interstate travel for conferences and training.

I am now the Sales Manager for Crown Scientific for Western Australia and South Australia. This is a management position, where I manage the Account Managers and Customer Service Officers in WA and SA, where I am overall responsible for the success of these two states.
