I have always wanted to have a career where I feel that I am making a difference to help the environment.

I thought that Environmental Science would be the natural choice for me. However, I found out about the BSc in Natural Resource Management while talking to Faculty representatives at a UWA open day and decided to choose this instead.

I liked that in addition to the scientific aspect of the degree that there are economic elements which would enable me to draw on a wider basis of knowledge for future decision making. I also liked that it is a four year degree and included a final year project which would give me some research experience.

Although it was the hardest year in the course, I enjoyed my final year the most. It was great to be able to feel as though I could put things I had learnt into practice. It was also a great sense of achievement when I finished!
