Computer labs, internet, email and printing facilities for undergraduates.
Students can access email, the internet, saved files and print quotas from any one of four undergraduate computer labs. These labs are in the Geography, Agriculture, Zoology and Botany Buildings on the Crawley Campus.
These labs are always available, so that all students of the Faculty have access to computers. Use your campus card to arrange after-hours access to the larger labs.
During scheduled teaching times, students involved in classes have priority access to computers but you can still use any available computer.
Lab computers have internet access and to use the internet off-campus, you need to authenticate your access. There is a rolling quota system to ensure all students have equal access to the internet.
Internet and network access available to students on and off-campus, including instructions on how to connect your laptop to the UWA network.
To cover coursework requirements, every semester undergraduate students are given a print quota of 50 pages for every FNAS unit.
Fourth-year and honours students are allocated an additional quota mid-semester. This is to cover the extra printing needed during the final year of study.
Undergraduate computer labs have laser printers and colour-laser printing is also available in some labs.
Consult the lab locations for more information about printing facilities and increasing printing quotas.
Please note:
Every undergraduate gets an email address from the university. This is the only email address the university and your lecturers will use for official communication and you can access this account from any computer lab. You can also access your email with webmail when you are not on campus.
