Award winners are eligible for entry into the national award competition: Australian Teaching and Learning Council Awards.

Is there a lecturer or tutor you think did a fantastic job this year?

Here is your chance to acknowledge that lecturer or tutor by nominating them for a Faculty Teaching award. The awards give due recognition and appreciation for excellence in teaching and support of teaching within the Faculty.

Award categories

There will be up to six awards each year, with flexibility to award more than one award in any of the five categories:

  1. Excellence in Coursework Teaching Award for an Individual Teacher
    a) Excellence in Coursework Teaching
    b) Excellence in Coursework teaching (Early Career Teacher)
  2. Excellence in Coursework Teaching Award for a Unit or Teaching Team
  3. Excellence in Postgraduate Supervision Award
  4. Excellence in Research Supervision Award
  5. Excellence in Coursework Teaching Support Award

Guidelines

Judging panel

  • Deputy Dean Teaching and Learning (Chair)
  • Associate Dean Teaching and Learning
  • Co-opted members of the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee that represent all schools
  • Nominee of Pro Vice Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) or co-opted Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) from another Faculty
  • Senior Faculty Administrative Officer
  • Faculty CATLyst
  • Two students enrolled in the Faculty (one postgraduate, one undergraduate).
